Jennifer & Scott

This is the ceremony highlights from tonight's wedding of Jennifer and Scott at the Hyatt. The ceremony was scheduled for 5 p.m., but there was a parade on Kalakaua Avenue, so it was postponed until 6 p.m. Michelle and the rest of the staff from the Hyatt did an amazing job adapting to the situation and making it a positive. They brought out food for the guests to enjoy until the ceremony began, which always keeps people happy. Hyatt's service is top notch, and today was a great example. It all worked out well in the end, and the lighting was actually better for us than it would be if the ceremony was at 5:00. Dwight from Studio 3 was their photographer, and we had a great time working with him. Jennifer and Scott are a great couple and we were honored to be a part of their big day!!!

Miou and Ricky

Here is the wedding day highlights from the wedding of Miou and Ricky at the Hilton Prince Kuhio. It was so windy, we had to use most of our energy to just keep the camera and tripod from tipping over. I have never been a part of a wedding that windy, but that's what made it fun. That's something about their wedding day that they will never forget. Ricky and Miou are so sweet, and I love all the emotion they showed at their wedding. I love the fact that Ricky walked into the ballroom for their grand entrance with his video camera! Eugene Kam set up some great shots during their photo shoot, which he always does. Eugene is one of our favorite photographers because he sets up some great video-friendly shots. They chose Susan from Aloha Wedding Planners as their wedding coordinator, and she did a fantastic job. Thanks Miou and Ricky!!!

Josliene and Jemar

This is the wedding day highlights from the wedding of Josliene and Jemar. They were married at the Kamehameha Chapel, and their reception followed at the Hale Koa. We will always remember this wedding because it fell on Super Bowl Sunday! It takes very special people to have friends that would give up watching the game to be a part of their wedding day. Janice went to school at HPU with both Josliene and Jemar, so this wedding ended up being a HPU reunion! Lissa Wilson did a great job coordinating, and Dulce delivered great photos. Thank you Josie and Jemar!!!

Grace and Shaun

This is the wedding day highlights from Grace and Shaun's wedding at the Halekulani. This is one of my favorite songs, so I really enjoyed doing these highlights. Jose Roces did a great job as their photographer, and Tony from The DJ Hawaii entertained as their MC/DJ. Shaun started to cry during the ceremony, but Grace stayed strong. Janice still claims that I cried at our wedding, but I maintain that my eyeballs were sweating (it was really hot)! This is a great couple with a lot of love for each other and it was a pleasure to be a part of their day. Thank you Grace & Shaun!!!

Cheryl and Jerome

This is the wedding day highlights from the wedding of Cheryl and Jerome. They were married at the Hale Koa Hotel in the Luau Gardens on November 18, 2007. Luau Gardens is a very special place for us to shoot since it is the place where we got married. They had one of the fastest ceremonies we have ever seen. It lasted only 10 minutes from the time the bridal party started walking down the aisle to the time they were all done. However, they had a great photo shoot before the ceremony by Vince from Love Story Weddings. Thank you Cheryl and Jerome!!!

Tracy and Jerome

This is the wedding day highlights from the wedding of Tracy and Jerome. They were married at the beautiful Kamehameha Chapel, and their reception followed at the Hawaii Prince. They had Visionari as their photographers, and we all had a great time taking pictures downtown. We actually did a majority of their photo shoot in the middle of the road!!! Tracy and Jerome are such wonderful people, and we actually got to see several of our previous couples at their wedding. Jerome is a huge St. Louis Rams fan, but we decided not to hold that against him! Congratulations Tracy and Jerome!!

Allison & Charles

Today was a busy day, with a total of 3 weddings!!! Allison and Charles is such an amazing couple! They met us from seeing us at several of their friend's weddings. The biggest compliment we can ever receive is when we get any referral-based business. It is always great to see previous (and even future) couples at a wedding. Their bridal party consisted of 3 groomsmen, 1 maid of honor, and 2 "bridesmans". Their wedding was very non-conventional, but it was one of the most fun weddings we have ever been a part of. I can't wait to edit the full video, because the speeches were hilarious! The ever-so-popular and talented Visionari captured their special day with us. Congratulations Allison and Charles!!!

Diana & Shaun

Here is the ceremony highlights as played at the reception from the wedding of Diana and Shaun. They were married at Hawaii Korean Central Union Church in Manoa, and their reception followed at the Hawaii Prince (which lately has become our most popular hotel). Shaun was a groomsman at Jill & Brad's wedding (2 years ago), but today the roles were reversed. This was a fun highlights to edit because there was both laughter and tears (the key elements for a great video). Congratulations Diana and Shaun!!!

Marja and Greg

This is the wedding day highlights from the wedding of Marja and Greg on November 3, 2007. Their ceremony took place at Kawaiahao Church, and the reception followed at the Hale Koa. I love the song they chose for this video, but surprisingly it is the first time I have ever used it. However, I have a feeling I will see again in the future. Vince from Love Story Weddings did an amazing job as their photographer, and we had a lot of fun working with him. It is so important that the videographer and photographer work well together, because it will result in great pictures as well as a great video. Marja had a waterfall fetish that day, and she wanted to take all her pictures outside by the waterfall. Their reception was a lot of fun, and everyone really let loose and had a blast. Thank you Marja and Greg for having us at your wedding!!!

Amy and Stan

This is the ceremony highlights as played at the reception from Amy and Stan's wedding at the Halekulani. Halekulani is one of our most popular spots, but we rarely shoot in the Hau Terrace, which is where their wedding took place. It's very nice because it is completely private, and it is very convenient because the ceremony and reception sites are right next to each other. Most of our weddings are big weddings, so we enjoyed the change of pace of today's smaller wedding. It is always a pleasure working with Visionari, and they always deliver great photos. Amy and Stan, we wish you the very best!!!

Jamie & Kyle

This is the ceremony highlights as played at the reception from today's wedding of Jamie and Kyle. They were married at the Hawaii Prince Hotel, with their photo shoot at La Pietra School. Jamie actually graduated from Pearl City High School with Janice, which is always nice to catch up with an old friend. They had a morning wedding, and it was a little tough waking up. However, once we were up and working, we had a lot of fun. As always, we had a blast shooting with their photographer (Geralyn from Hokuli'i Images), and I know their pictures will come out great!!! For now, it's off to get some rest!!! Thanks Jamie & Kyle!!!

Tina & Tim

Here is the wedding day highlights from the wedding of Tina and Tim on November 24, 2007, at Lanikuhonua. They are not only high school sweethearts, they are actually intermediate sweethearts!!! I ran into Tina and Tim in New Orleans while at the Sugar Bowl, and we hung out until 4 a.m. eating beignets (eating away our sorrows from the game). We had a great time, and it was really nice to spend time with them. Their wedding was so fun, with some of the funniest speeches at their reception. My favorite shot of this video is when Tina's dad is consoling her as he is walking her down the aisle. In my opinion, the best shots are the ones that show the true emotion of the wedding day, rather than the ones with the fancy camera moves. I also love the shot of the parents holding hands during the ceremony. Photographer Jerry Omo from Hawaiian Pix captured the special day. Thanks Tina & Tim - GO WARRIORS!!

Tracy and Chris

Here is the wedding day highlights from the wedding of Tracy and Chris on December 29, 2007. Their ceremony was held at St. Elizabeth in Aiea, and the reception followed at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki. This couple has set the record for the fastest kiss in wedding history!!! But seriously, they are a sweet couple and they had a beautiful wedding. Gregg Hammer was hilarious at their reception, and Ben & Maila played beautiful music. Thank you Tracy and Chris for allowing us to be a part of your special day!

Sherryl & Wesley

Here are the wedding day highlights from the wedding of Sherryl & Wes. This is a perfect example of how two people from completely from different backgrounds (Sherryl is from Waianae, Wes is from Indiana) can come together to make a perfect couple. My favorite part from this wedding was when they called for the garter removal and Wes sat down in her chair, only to be instructed that it is usually the other way around!!! Visionari did an amazing job as their photographers, and wedding coordinator Lissa Wilson made the day come together perfectly. Thanks Sherryl & Wes!

Sherryl & Wes

This is the bride and groom preps portion from the wedding of Sherryl & Wes. They were married on January 19, 2008 at Lanikuhonua, with the reception at the Kapolei Golf Course. We are still working on the video, but since we rarely put samples of bride and groom preps on our website, we figured we would show it on our blog. We will post the wedding day highlights when we finish.

Shawnie and Nathan

Here is the ceremony highlights from tonight's wedding of Shawnie and Nathan at the Ko'olau Golf Course. This is what was played at their reception after their slideshow. Shawnie and Nathan are such a fun couple to be around, and we had such a great time. The wedding was wonderfully coordinated by the Wedding Planners Hawaii, and the photographer was Love Story Weddings, who always takes great pictures. Thank you Shawnie & Nathan!!

Jane & Steve

Here is the wedding day highlights from the wedding of Jane and Steve at Ihilani on December 16, 2007. Ihilani is one of our most popular places to shoot, which is great for us because it is so close to our home. They are such a sweet couple, and we had a blast at their wedding. They hired my favorite MC and good friend Gregg Hammer, as well as Shawnee Hammer of L'Elegance Bridal. They both did a terrific job as always, as did their photographer, Derek Wong. Thank you Jane and Steve for waiting patiently for your video, we hope you enjoy it for years to come!

Jennifer & David

We just finished editing the wedding of Jennifer and David on January 5, 2008. Their wedding was held at the Sheraton in the Niihau Room. Although it is not very popular, it is one of our favorite spots in Waikiki, because it is secluded from the passer-byes of Waikiki. It is also only a few steps away from the ballrooms, so it is extremely convenient for everyone. The lighting for photo shoot after the ceremony was absolutely perfect, I've never seen the water in Waikiki quite so blue!!! They had a beautiful wedding and we are so fortunate to have been a part of it. Their photographer Jerry Omo from Hawaiian Pix took wonderful photos that made a beautiful cover for their DVD. Thank you Jennifer and David!!!

Wedding Cafe Video Showcase

Tonight we will be at the Wedding Cafe in Manoa for its twice a year video showcase. If you haven't already, we encourage all couples who are considering hiring a videographer to come down and see what everyone has to offer. There will be 8 different videographers there to choose from, and the event is free. Aside from our company success, one of our biggest goals this year is to do all we can to encourage ALL couples to have a video for their wedding, even if it is not us. Video is such a great way to preserve all the memories of your wedding day, it is a shame that so many people bypass it. Photography is great and everyone should hire a great photographer, but video is equally important because they capture your wedding in different ways. We have heard so many couples who did not have a video at their wedding tell us after the fact that they regret it. However, we have never heard of a couple that got video that wishes they did not. Hope to see everyone there.

Valerie & Duan

Here is the ceremony highlights from Valerie and Duan, as was played at their reception. Their ceremony was held at Central Union, and their reception was at Halekulani. Valerie started to cry as soon as she got ready to walk down the aisle. However, after the ceremony it was all fun and games. At the reception, it seemed like everyone in the room had a camera, which presented a little bit of a challenge for us with people stepping in front of our cameras trying to get "the shot". A lot of times people feel like they are being helpful in taking pictures and video for the couple, but they often times make it more challenging for the paid professionals.  However, since we always use more than one camera, it will be fine.  That is the number one reason why we never shoot weddings with one camera.  Anyway, we had a lot of fun and it was nice to get back to work after our vacation.  Thank you Valerie and Duan for having us at your beautiful wedding!

Kylie's 2 year old shoot

Here's the one from last year!!! This was even harder than this year's version!!!

Kylie's 3 year old shoot

This is a video we put together of our daughter, Kylie.  Shooting children, especially your own, is quite a challenge because they do not always want to cooperate.  However, it is worth it because it brings tears to our eyes every time.  Kylie loves to watch it, and she will watch it over and over again.
