Here are the wedding day highlights from Michelle and Mitchell's wedding. They were married at the beautiful Central Union Chapel, and their reception followed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. This was our first time working with their photographer, Dave Au, and he was a pleasure to work with. Congratulations Michelle and Mitchell!!!

Kathy & Ryan
Our other wedding we shot today was Kathy and Ryan. They were married at Waialae Baptist Church in Kahala, and their reception followed at the Hale Koa. Ryan was the best man at Aryn and Darci's wedding, which we shot 3 weeks ago, but today the tables were turned. That has actually happened several times for us, however it has never been so close together. I did my best not to duplicate the same shots, so their videos will not look too similar. However, they did mention that if one wedding was missing some footage, I could just grab it from the other's wedding:) This wedding was also photographed by Love Story Weddings (that's right, both of our weddings today had the same photography company)! If this continues, we might have to move in to their studio!!! Thank you Kathy and Ryan!!!
Marissa & Mark
This is the ceremony highlights from tonight's wedding of Marissa and Mark. They were married at St. Joseph's church in Waipahu, with the reception following at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Love Story Weddings took care of their photography, and we've become very accustomed to seeing them on Saturdays (third Saturday in a row, with one more to go). We really enjoyed getting to know this couple, and they are such wonderful people. This was probably the most difficult receptions we have ever shot. Their emcee, although very funny, did not follow the timeline, which made our job very difficult. We rely on the timeline to help us prepare for each event before it happens. This prevents us from having to scramble around trying to get our cameras set. Although the final video will still come out fine, it was a little stressful for us! That being said, we still enjoyed being a part of their wedding day.

Sujen and David
Here are the wedding day highlights from Sujen and David's wedding. I love shooting at Lanikuhonua, especially when you get sunsets like we did on this day! The weather was perfect (except for the heat), and I'm sure they got some great pictures from their photographer, Shawn Starr . I love the fact that Sujen stuffed cake in David's face. I was too chicken to do it to Janice when we got married, but if we ever renew our vows she's going to get a face full of cake!! Their other wonderful vendors included their wedding coordinator Sandra Williams from Finishing Touch, and their DJ was Troy Michael. Thank you Sujen and David!!!

Tiffany and Shane
This is the wedding day highlights from Tiffany and Shane's wedding on April 5, 2008. They were married in the ballroom of the Hau Terrace at the Halekulani. Their reception was held in the big ballroom at the same hotel. Tiffany and Shane are such beautiful people, inside and out, and it was great to be a part of their day. Congratulations Tiffany and Shane!!!

Busy Weekend for Video 21
We just finished up our busiest weekend in quite a while, and we are all exhausted! We had Deva and Brandon's wedding on Friday, Marielyn & Koa's wedding on Saturday, Karen & Mark's wedding on Sunday morning, and Alicia & Lauren's wedding on Sunday afternoon. They were all fantastic couples and we are so fortunate to have been able to have been a part of their wedding, but I really miss Kylie. I didn't see her (awake) all weekend, and she has preschool in the morning (I'm sleeping late - Janice is taking her!). I love everything about our job, except for the fact that we don't usually get to spend weekends together. However, she loves to be with her Grandma (Janice's mom), and I know she's in good hands. As for Video 21, it now really feels like summer, and it's just beginning. We've got a wonderful crew (the strongest we've ever had), and we're really excited about this summer. Everyone from our crew has such a great attitude, work ethic, and talent, and we're so thankful they are a part of our team. I'm trying my best to get all these videos added to the blog, so please forgive me if I have very short descriptions for each weddings. As for now, time for some sleep!!!
Alicia & Lauren
Here are the ceremony highlights as played at the reception of Alicia and Lauren. They were married in the gazebo at the Ihilani. Ihilani is probably my favorite place to shoot, since I love the grounds and it is very close to our home. However, this is the first time we have shot here in what seems like an eternity, so it was nice to be back. The couple chose Aaron Bernard (Liquid Light Images) as their photographer, and it was also the first time we have worked with him in a while. Congratulations Alicia & Lauren!!!
Karen & Mark
Here are the ceremony highlights as played at the reception of Karen and Mark. I felt so bad for Karen because she has had some problems with her neck, but she was so tough that you couldn't tell. They had a simulated casino as part of their reception, which certainly keeps the guests involved in the reception! Congratulations Karen and Mark!!!
Marielyn & Koa
Here are the ceremony highlights as played at the reception of Marielyn and Koa. They were married at Central Union, with the reception following at the Westin Moana Surfrider. The Moana is such a beautiful hotel, but you just have to battle lots of people. They chose Love Story Weddings as their photographer, and we actually work with them on 4 consecutive Saturdays! Congratulations Marielyn and Koa!!!

Deva & Brandon
Here are the ceremony highlights as played at the reception of Deva and Brandon. Their wedding was held at the Halekulani, which was a very busy place today. The couple chose Keith Uehara (KU Productions) as their photographer, and we had a great time working with him. Congratulations Deva and Brandon!!!

Yvonne and Stephen
Here are the wedding day highlights from Yvonne and Stephen's wedding. Their ceremony was held at Kawaiahao Church, and their reception followed at the Halekulani. Stephen became very emotional during the ceremony, and he had a really hard time saying his vows. This kind of emotion reminds us of how important every wedding is, and how big of a step it is in people's lives. Visionari was their phographer, and Tony So from The DJ Hawaii was their DJ. Congratulations Yvonne & Stephen!!!
Mina and Gene
Here are the wedding day highlights from Mina and Gene's wedding. They were married at Christ United Methodist Church, and their reception followed at the Kahala. This was the first time we have shot in this church, but it was really nice. It is so much easier to shoot in big, open churches versus smaller, darker churches. It is also great to have a church with a balcony in the back (we love to shoot from high angles). At the Kahala, their reception was a big party. They were still dancing hard even after we left, thanks to Teley B from Showtime DJ's. They had our friends from Visionari as their photographers, and Weddings by Grace & Mona did a wonderful job coordinating. Congratulations Mina and Gene!!!

Kimberley and Eddy
Here is the wedding day highlights from Kimberley & Eddy's wedding at the Sheraton. They had a beautiful wedding on the Diamond Head Lawn, with the reception following in the Ni'ihau Room. They had about 40 guests, which is a very small wedding compared to the weddings we normally film. However, it was a nice change of pace. They had one of the most beautiful cakes I have ever seen (I believe it was made by Cake Lava). David Louis of Dynamic Sounds provided their DJ/MC services, and they always do a great job keeping the party going. Congratulations Kimberley & Eddy!!!

Michelle & Jason
Here are the ceremony highlights as played at tonight's reception of Michelle and Jason. They have got to be one of the sweetest couples we have ever met! They are so genuine, and it was an honor to be a part of their special day. They were married at Anela Gardens, which is a beautiful church in Kapahulu that has only recently been available for local weddings (it is primarily used for Japanese weddings). It was our first time shooting there, and it was also the first time we have ever seen a feet washing ceremony! They hired some wonderful vendors for their wedding, including Lissa Wilson from The Wedding Planners, Love Story Weddings, and The DJ Hawaii. Thank you Michelle and Jason!!!

Emily and Mike
Here are the wedding day highlights from Emily and Mike's wedding. I can't get over how beautiful this chapel is, and I hope we get the opportunity to shoot in it again. It is a really easy church to shoot in, because there is a balcony that goes around 3 sides, which allows for some great shots. Emily and Mike are a beautiful couple who had a beautiful wedding, and we are honored to be a part of it. Congratulations Emily and Mike!!!

Roosevelt High School, Class of 2008
Here are the highlights from Roosevelt High School's Class of 2008. This year was extra special for everyone because it is the first graduation on their new field. Roosevelt was the first school in Hawaii to have project graduation, and they continue to do an incredible job every year. My favorite part of the show is the hypnotist, because it is amazing what he has the kids do. A lot of people don't think it is for real, but it is definitely real!!! Congratulations to all the graduates of the Class of 2008!!!
Darci and Noli
Here are the wedding day highlights from Darci and Noli's wedding. Their ceremony was held at the beautiful Ocean Crystal Chapel at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, and their reception followed in the Coral Ballroom. This was only our second time shooting in this chapel, because it is primarily used for Japanese weddings. I love the glasses Noli used for the garter toss!!! Because we get to see so many different weddings, I always find myself saying, " I wish I would have done that at our wedding"! It was also very touching when Noli sang and played the piano for Darci, but I'm glad I didn't do that at our wedding (my singing would have to be significantly better just to be considered terrible!). The couple chose Eugene Kam as their photographer, Gregg Hammer as their MC, Troy Michael as their DJ, and Michael Nelson as their officiant - all great vendors. Thank you Darci and Noli!!!

Liane & Marcus
This is the ceremony highlights as played at the reception of Liane and Marcus. Their wedding took place at the Halekulani, which is my favorite location in Waikiki. They are such a sweet couple, and they did a wonderful job planning their wedding. It was also nice to work with their photographer, Garrett Nose. I haven't worked with him in a while (although Janice has worked with him a couple times recently), so I had a good time. Congratulations Liane and Marcus!!!

Kapolei High School, Class of 2008
Here is the highlights from Kapolei's Class of 2008 video, as well as clips from their project graduation. This is our fourth consecutive year filming Kapolei High School, and we look forward to it every year. We are still accepting orders for the video, so if you would like, please download the form here. Congratulations Class of 2008!!!

Graduation Week
We just finished filming graduation and project graduations for Roosevelt High School and Kapolei High School. We have been working with both schools now for 4 years, and we really enjoy it. Because we do almost all weddings, it is a fun change. Typically at weddings we are very low key and hopefully unnoticed, but at the project graduations it is the exact opposite. The kids love the camera and we get to be right in the middle of all the action. We were also privileged to film the first graduation on Roosevelt's new football field. It is even nicer than I imagined! It cost them $4.5 million, but if you ever saw what their field looked like before, you would agree that they deserve it. Congratulations to all the graduates of the Class of 2008!!!
Erna and Stuart
Here are the wedding day highlights from Erna and Stuart's wedding. They are such an amazing couple, and their wedding was absolutely beautiful! One thing about this couple that really makes me jealous is that they can dance!!! They had 2 choreographed dances with each other that were really impressive. Janice has been bugging me for a while now for us to take a dance class together, so maybe there is some hope for me! Anyway, it was a privilege to be a part of their wedding day. Thank you Erna and Stuart!!!
