Alicia and Lauren

Here is the wedding day highlights from Alicia and Lauren's wedding. They were married at the gazebo at the beautiful Ihilani Resort, and their reception followed in the Ocean Ballroom. They did a really great choreographed dance as they entered into the ballroom - I really wish I could dance but I really don't think there is much hope. Congratulations Alicia and Lauren!!!

Introducing ... Charlie

Kylie just celebrated her 4th Birthday, so today we bought her a 16 week old puppy named "Charlie". We spent the whole day looking for the perfect dog, and then we found him! We really wanted a beagle all along, but didn't think we would find one because they are really hard to find. Kylie is so happy and proud to have her own dog, which is the best feeling as a parent. It's going to be a lot of work, but I know we will love him, which will make it all worth it.

Reimi & Shawn

Here are the ceremony highlights as played at the reception of Reimi and Shawn. They had an absolutely beautiful wedding at the Moana Surfrider. In particular, their ballroom was decorated beautifully. Their wedding was coordinated by Diana Shintanishi from Hawaii Wedding & Events, while SU-V Expressions took care of the flowers. We are also shooting Reimi's Maid of Honor's wedding next year, and Reimi is going with her to the Bridal Expo tomorrow. Congratulations Reimi and Shawn!!!

Deva and Brandon

Here is the wedding day highlights from Deva and Brandon's wedding at the Halekulani. I love the emotion in Deva's face, especially as they were speaking their vows. My favorite videos are always the ones where there is lots of crying involved! We had a great time working with their photographer, Keith Uehara. Congratulations Deva and Brandon!!!

Denise & Mark

This is the ceremony highlights played at the reception of Denise and Mark. They were married at the Iolani School Chapel, and their reception followed at the Halekulani. We shot Denise's older brother's wedding a couple years ago, and it was nice to see them again. We got to work with their photographer, Dave Miyamoto, who is a really talented photographer. Congratulations Denise and Mark!!!

Jaime and Jimmy

It was a pleasure to have captured Jaime and Jimmy's wedding at Turtle Bay. This was the 5th time we have shot the groom being a twin. You know what they say about twins, if you can't tell which twin you are talking to they have the right to mess with you until you figure it out.
The couple had a beautiful ceremony that took place in the Pavilion and the reception followed in the Sunset room, where is looks the ocean. After the ceremony they released doves which flew over the ocean. Thank you for allowing us to capture your special day. Congratulations Jaime and Jimmy!!!

Nuikala & Keahi

This is the ceremony highlights as played at the reception of Nuikala and Keahi. They were married at the Kamehameha Chapel, and their reception followed at the Hyatt. I love the shots of Nui wiping Keahi's tears! We shot the photo shoot downtown, because they wanted a more urban feel. I'm sure their photographer, Mark Nomura, did a great job capturing that for them. It was nice to work with Mark again, because we haven't worked with him in quite a while. Keahi sang 3 songs as a surprise to Nui, which was very touching. Just being around this couple for a few minutes really shows how much they love each other. Thank you Nuikala and Keahi!!!

Trish & Manny

Here are the ceremony highlights as played at tonight's reception of Trish and Manny. We got a big scare around the time the ceremony was supposed to begin because it started to rain pretty hard! Luckily, after maybe 5 or 10 minutes, it cleared up and everything ran smoothly. I love the bottom of Manny's shoe (if you can't see it, it says "Happy Wife/Happy Life"). Their photographer was Love Story Weddings (again), and their florist was Su V Expressions (again), and their coordinator was Parasol Events (again). It is so amazing to me how everything goes in spurts for us - location, photographers, coordinators, etc.). However, we love it because it is familiar and we all know each other and enjoy working together. As for us, back to sleep to get ready for 2 more weddings tomorrow. Congratulations Trish and Manny!!!

Liane and Marcus

This is the wedding day highlights from the wedding of Liane and Marcus at the Halekulani. Their wedding day was a special, very popular date of June 7, 2008 (6/7/8), which just so happened to land on a Saturday. That should be really easy for Marcus to remember (I have a really hard time remembering our anniversary date)! We had a great time working with their photographer, Garrett Nose, and their DJ, Tony So of The DJ Hawaii. Congratulations Liane and Marcus!!!

Marielyn and Koa

Marielyn and Koa had a beautiful wedding at Central Union, and their reception followed at the Westin Moana Surfrider (that still sounds funny to me since it was Sheraton for so long - I still want to call the Kahala the Kahala Mandarin!) Gregg Hammer was exceptionally funny as their MC, which really kept the crowd into it. Congratulations Marielyn and Koa!!!

Melinda & Ben

Today we had a rare Wednesday wedding, and here is the ceremony highlights. Melinda and Ben's wedding took place at Turtle Bay, which (beside the long drive) is a beautiful place. They had just under 70 guests, most of whom are from Calgary. When I asked Ben why Hawaii, he said because Hawaii is beautiful. That is something that we often take for granted, but Hawaii is truly the perfect place to get married. The couple chose Parasol Events as their coordinator, Chrissy Lambert as their photographer, and Troy Michael as their DJ/MC. Congratulations Melinda & Ben!!!

Laura and Kalen

If Laura and Kalen's highlights don't move you, then we might have to check your pulse! They are an unbelievably sweet couple and it was a pleasure to be a part of their wedding. I love the shot of Kalen as Laura is walking down the aisle! During the photo shoot before the ceremony, you could see Kalen's mother was fighting back tears. All that emotion is in my opinion what weddings are all about. We also really enjoyed working with their photographer, the talented Derek Wong. Thank you Laura and Kalen!!!

Melyssa & Ashley

I had a wonderful day with Melyssa and Ashley. Here is the ceremony highlights from today. I started the morning early (not as early as Davis) at the Ihiliani where the ceremony and reception was held. I really enjoyed working with their photographer Garrett Nose, who is very nice and easy easy to work with. Shari Dang coordinated the day to run smoothly and stress free for Melyssa. Their ceremony was performed by Mike Nelson, who holds a special place in may heart because he married Davis and I
5 years ago. The couple choose a wonderful crew for their wedding. I look forward to editing their video soon.
Congratulations Melyssa and Ashley!!!

Janice & Jason

Here are the ceremony highlights from Janice and Jason's wedding this morning. This was a very, very, very early morning for me. I had to be at The Kahala for Janice's preps at 5:00 a.m., which means I had to leave our home in Ewa Beach at 4:00. I debated not sleeping, since I normally don't go to sleep until about 1-2 a.m., but I made myself sleep at about 10:30 the night before. I'm glad I did, because I don't know if I would have made it. This was another team effort with us and Love Story Weddings, which has become a weekly thing. Congratulations Janice and Jason!!!

Janice and Jason's Skit

This is the skit from Janice and Jason's wedding today, and it was a really big hit!!! The funny thing is, we made most of it up as we went. They are big fans of the movie "Dumb and Dumber", so they knew they wanted the last scene, but we needed more to make a full skit. So we just kind of brainstormed and came up with the ideas. Janice's mom was cast last minute, and she did such a great job. The scenes with the wind in her hair was actually done by fanning her with Pizza Hut boxes!!! The fake ring was actually our daughter's ring that she had left in the car. After we left, I realized that we never got the bike back out of the trunk, so there's a good chance it's still there!

Denise and Jon

We had such a good time on our trip to Kauai to film Denise and Jon's wedding. We left Oahu early in the morning, and returned early the next morning for another wedding. I couldn't believe that Jon shoved the cake in Denise's face, because normally it is the other way around. I would have loved to do that to Janice, but I was (and sometimes still am) scared of her and what she might have done to me. Congratulations Denise and Jon!!!
