Here's the wedding day highlights from Wendy and Leigh's wedding at the Hyatt. They were having a nice, touching first dance, when all of a sudden they broke out into a hilarious choreographed dance routine! It really caught me by surprise, but I thought it was great. I also loved the "No Trespassing" sign that Leigh pulled out during the garter removal. Congratulations Wendy and Leigh!!!

Joyce and Ted
Here is the ceremony highlights from today's wedding of Joyce and Ted at the Ihilani. This was our final wedding of 2008 (unless we get a miracle last minute booking in the next 3 days). It has been a fantastic year, and we are looking forward to another great year in 2009. Joyce and Ted are such a sweet couple, and we are privileged to have been a part of their wedding. Thank you Joyce and Ted!!!

Who turned off the lights?
With all the Christmas festivities going on, it's always very difficult for me to get a lot of work done this time of year. However, when the power goes out, it is impossible! I was working hard most of the day yesterday when I saw the lights start to flicker and out went the power. I had all three computers running, but luckily they all have backup power. I was running all over the place trying to save my work before the backup power went out. Once we realized that power was not going to be restored, our family and a bunch of our neighbors gathered up in our driveway and we just hung out until about 2 a.m. We cooked all the remaining food we had in our refrigerator on the grill, because if not it was just going to spoil anyway. We popped the trunks in our cars and two of the kids fell asleep in the trunk (talk about child abuse!). Kylie, like her father, did not fall asleep because she didn't want to miss out on any of the action. It ended up being a great night, but one that I hope doesn't happen again because I got to get some videos edited!!!

Santa Picture
Today was a very exciting day for Kylie. She took pictures with Santa, but she also got her ears pierced. She has been asking for quite a while, so today was the day we finally let her do it. She was so brave, she didn't cry a bit. In fact, she actually smiled immediately because she knew they were in. Without a doubt my favorite part about being a parent is seeing her happy and excited.

Janna and Chris
This is the wedding day highlights from the wedding of Janna and Chris. They had a beautiful wedding and we are so grateful to have been a part of it. This was our second of wedding on that day, both of which had their reception held at Pacific Beach Hotel! Congratulations Janna and Chris!!!

Kylie's first school performance
Tonight was Kylie's first school performance. She is so proud of herself and looking forward to showing the video to her family in the mainland.
Family Photos
We just took family photos with our friends from Love Story Weddings. CJ from Naturally you made our hair and make up look beautiful! Thank you Lew, Vince and CJ for helping us get our Christmas cards out on time this year. Happy Holidays!

Jayme and Harlan
Here is the wedding day highlights from Jayme and Harlan's wedding at the Hyatt. Their reception was full of funny speeches and short jokes about Harlan, but he took it all very well. I almost felt sorry for him, then I realized that he was a Dallas Cowboys fan, so I figured he's getting what he deserved (I'm still mad at Dallas for beating my Buccaneers this year)! Jayme gave Harlan a gift of Origami Cranes made into the shape of a Dallas Cowboys helmet, which was pretty cool except for the Cowboys thing. She also gave him a couple other gifts that were Cowboys related, so he left the reception a very happy man. Congratulations Jayme and Harlan!!!

Dena and Buddy
This is the wedding day highlights from Dena and Buddy's wedding at Hale Koa's Luau Gardens. Luau Gardens is such a special place for Janice and I, since we were one of the first couples to get married there! It's a beautiful place, along with being very secluded and able to accommodate lots of people. We had a great time at their wedding, especially during our favorite part - the Samoan money dance. Congratulations Dena and Buddy!!!

Valerie and Malu
This is the wedding day highlights from Valerie and Malu's wedding. This is a perfect example of how simply enjoying the moment of getting married translates into a great video. Their smiles and laughter truly "make" the video, and it truly makes our job very easy. Although both Valerie and Malu were both laid off (as employees of Aloha Airlines) shortly before the wedding, they still were able to have a fantastic wedding. Thank you Valerie and Malu for allowing us to be a part of your special day!!!

Edlyn and Peter
This is the wedding day highlights from Edlyn and Peter's wedding. They were married at the Star of the Sea Chapel, and their reception followed at the Ko'olau Golf Course. Their photographer was Frank Amodo, and we had a great time working together. That was the first time I had ever been to that part of the golf course, and the lake made for some beautiful shots. Thank you Edlyn and Peter!!!
We love Christimas!
This time of year is by far our favorite time of year, and each year we add more lights than the year before. However, we are pretty close to running out of space to put more lights! In addition to the lights we already had, last year we bought a bunch of lights the day after Christmas (for 60% off), so we finally finished putting them all up. It actually took us about 3 days to put them all up, but it was totally worth it. If you ever drive by our house and see people admiring the lights, chances are it is us!!!

Rochelle and Jimmy
Here are the wedding day highlights from Rochelle and Jimmy's wedding. Their ceremony was held at a church in Ewa Beach (which is very conveniently located just a couple minutes away from our house), and their reception followed at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki. They chose Visionari as their photographers, who always delivers great photos! This was actually a vow renewal, since they were married 5 years earlier (to the day). I thought it was so cute when Rochelle and their daughter did a Hula for Jimmy, what a great memory! Congratulations Rochelle and Jimmy!!!

Our Vacation
This was at the Alligator Farm in St. Augustine, Florida (I think we enjoyed this place more than Disneyworld). Janice was too chicken to hold the snake, but at least she held the albino alligator. You actually had the option to go into the alligator pit (where there was about 50 alligators) and take a picture with a full-grown adult alligator, but I couldn't muster up the courage to do it!
Kylie and her cousin!
