This is the ceremony highlights from Susan and Bryce's wedding at Central Union. They had a very laid back wedding, which is always very nice. They were so easy to work with, which made our job very easy. Thank you Susan and Bryce!!! Susan & Bryce from Video 21 Productions on Vimeo.
The Westin Moana Surfrider is one of the oldest hotels in Hawaii, and one of the most beautiful. It has a great timeless feel, and it has some great spots for photo and video. In my opinion, the food at the Moana is one of the best, which is always a plus. The only difficult part about the Moana is that it tends to be very crowded, which often times makes it difficult for the photographer to get the shots without people in the background. However, it is a very beautiful and unique hotel, and a great place to get married. They can be reached at (808)923-2813 Westin Moana Surfrider from Video 21 Productions on Vimeo.
The Hyatt Regency is one of our favorite locations for weddings, as well as one of our most popular. It all starts with their Catering Manager, Michele Ganiko. She does a phenomenal job with both the clients, as well as the vendors, and everyone loves her! The ceremony site is very nice, especially since they added the partitions. The ballroom is beautiful, and the food is great (especially the pupus - roast duck and spring rolls!!!). They can be reached at (808) 923-1234. The Halekulani is definitely one of my favorite hotels on Oahu. One thing that really stands out about the Halekulani is their service. Their staff is very easy to work with, and they take such good care of their couples. The grounds are beautiful, the food is great, and (Janice's favorite) the parking is free! For smaller weddings, the Hau Terrace is very private and convenient, with the ceremony and reception sites being steps away from each other. For larger weddings, the lawn makes for beautiful ceremonies, while the ballroom is very elegant. They can be reached at (808) 923-2311. Halekulani from Video 21 Productions on Vimeo.
The next location is Lanikuhonua. It is located on the leeward side of the island, between the Ihilani and Paradise Cove. It is anextremely popular location for weddings, for good reason. The grounds are breathtaking, with beautiful coconut trees and a private beach. It also has the most beautiful sunsets, and you will often get pink or orange skies during this time. Although it typically is very warm, you seldom have to worry about rain. Their phone number is (808) 674-3360. Lanikuhonua from Video 21 Productions on Vimeo.
One of the most difficult decisions for most couples is which location to choose for their wedding. So we figured we could show everyone a short video of a bunch of different locations, and hopefully that can help. It can also give some ideas on how they want to decorate their ceremony and reception sites. We will post a location or two every day (well, almost every day), and write something about each location.
Our first location is the Hale Koa Hotel. This is a very special hotel for us, since it is where we got married. Dollar for dollar, this is the best value of all the hotels. The food is very good (my favorite buffet of all the hotels is the one with the crab legs), and the prices are very reasonable. The grounds are very nice and well kept, as well as very private. The ballrooms are very nice, and the staff is very helpful. Their phone number is (808) 955-0555. The Hale Koa Hotel from Video 21 Productions on Vimeo.
This is the ceremony highlights from Jan and Matt's wedding at the Halekulani. Matt is a longtime friend of mine since Intermediate school, so this was an extra special wedding for me to be a part of. I got to see a bunch of my old friends at the wedding, and it was really cool to see how everyone is doing (it really felt like a reunion). Although the wedding was a blast, I had a miserable time getting to the Halekulani. I left from the Ihilani at about noon, and did not arrive to the Halekulani until about 2:30, due to the gasoline spill on the freeway. It would have taken much longer, but they eventually opened up the freeway. I'm not really big on traffic anyway, but that was the worst!!! As for Jan and Matt, they had a beautiful wedding. I had a good idea of the type of wedding they were looking for, and it came out perfect. Congratulations Jan and Matt!!! Jan & Matt from Video 21 Productions on Vimeo.
Here is the ceremony highlights that were played at Michelle and Peter's reception. Their ceremony took place at St. Joseph's Church and was coordinated by Aunty Geri, and their reception was at Paradise Cove. The couple got ready at Koolina Beach Club, and we were all stuck in traffic due to the gas spill and freeway closure. The couple was so patient and understanding. The couple choose a wonderful crew of professional vendors who work well together and . The DJ- Tony So helped us hold the screen during the slideshow so that it wouldn't fly away. It was also wonderful working with their talented photographer Frank Amodo who set up really nice shots. Congratulations Michelle and Peter!!!
This is the wedding day highlights from Dawn and Puna's wedding at Luana Hills. I really love this song, and this was the perfect song for this couple. They are so sweet, and it is very obvious how much they love each other. They were blessed to avoid the rain during their ceremony, which amazingly seems to always happen during our weddings. I also thought it was really cool that Puna composed a song for Dawn, and it was played as she walked down the aisle. Congratulations Dawn and Puna!!! This is the wedding day highlights from Sharlene and Brandon's wedding. As you can tell by all the laughing, this was a very fun wedding. They had a great time all day, which was enhanced as the day went on (alcohol has a tendency to do that). Congratulations Sharlene and Brandon!!! This is the Wedding day highlights from Sonja and Fred wedding. There ceremony and reception took place at Moili Gardens which has a beautiful grand staircase perfect for Sonja to make her entrance. Their wedding was nothing short of tears, laughter and of course dancing. All their family and friends got up to do the "twist" when the song came on. Thank you Fred and Sonja for choosing up to capture your special day. Sonja and Fred from Video 21 Productions on Vimeo.
Our little baby is growing up so fast!!! For the last couple weeks we have been working with Kylie to learn how to ride a bike without training wheels, and today she finally REALLY got it! She had been learning to ride on the grass, but today we let her ride on the concrete, and she took off!!! I guess it was a lot easier for her to build up speed on concrete versus grass. She now just has to learn how to start on her own (and she probably needs to learn how to stop a little better). After we shot this, we let her ride in the street (best not to have to worry about videotaping while keeping her from running into cars!) and she rode about 2 blocks without stopping!!! We promised her we would get her some princess earrings if she learned how to ride a bike, so I guess we'll be going to the mall tomorrow!!! Kylie riding her bike from Video 21 Productions on Vimeo.
This is the Wedding Day Highlights from Tracy and Duane's wedding. Their ceremony was beautiful, and their reception was full of laughs (their MC was hilarious). I thought it was really cool that their wedding day was also the 60th anniversary of their grandparents. After Tracy and Duane cut their cake, they had the grandparents cut the cake as well. Congratulations Tracy and Duane!!! Tracy and Duane from Video 21 Productions on Vimeo.
We are a husband and wife team that is blessed to have our dream job. We have a daughter, Kylie, who recently turned 5 years old. She is the love of our lives, and one that keeps us motivated to strive for the best. We started our business shortly after we were married (2003), and we are very proud of the success that we have had. We believe that the key to our success has been professionalism and sincerity. We truly want to give all of our couples a video memory that they will enjoy forever.
